the staff were really attentive and friendly , I really enjoyed my boar and chorizo pie , it was hot , with appropriate servings of mash , freshly cooked vegetables , and gravy.
the two beers I had were also enjoyable , with Wainwrights Amber taking the edge , so i had a second pint of that .
a pub isn’t s pub unless it looks after its ales.
final point , the atmosphere and ambience works , even with the massive TV screen .
A local London pub atmosphere at its best. Sparkling laught of local customers, delicious fish and chips, and fast friendly service. It has been a few years since the last visit in London. We visited many pubs in London during this visit and only The Hoop and Grapes delivered what we were expecting. High recommendation without any doubt. I'll be back!
I dont know how you can dislike this place! It has charm while still being lively and fun. The food is AMAZING. Definitely a stand out for us and would return night after night if we could to try everything on the menu. The crisp on the fish & chips was immaculate and the steak & nichols pie was delicious. Mac and cheese was rich and scrumptious and the drinks were all fabulous as well. Ace was the best as well!!!!
